About Me and Academics

As the youngest of 6 siblings, I grew up in Boulder, Colorado immersed in a diverse, magical, and at times chaotic childhood. After leaving my hometown to pursue dreams of education and experience, I have found myself at the University of Puget Sound as a double major in Psychology and Gender Queer Studies, aspiring therapist, and happiness enthusiast. In my free time I enjoy sending time outside with my dog, family, and friends. I am passionate about traveling the world, Italian food, and supporting those around me.

Throughout my time at Puget Sound, my passion for psychology broadened to include the additional subjects of philosophy, sociology, religion, and gender queer studies (GQS). In the beginning of my junior year I applied to create a special interdisciplinary major in GQS when I realized I wanted to double major in the subject with Psychology, but my school did not yet have a GQS major. My created GQS major got approved and I now am able to follow multiple academic passiones while keeping a strong intersectional base grounded in various research, theories, and applications. Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine when I found the DIS program and saw the programs they offered in both Psychology and Gender Queer Studies, I knew it was meant to be!
